In the fall of 2006, after serving on several summer mission trips to Vermont, North Carolina native, Lyandon Warren and his wife Kim sensed a call to establish a gospel witness in the town of West Pawlet, VT. Realizing that Vermont was the least religious state in America and in desperate need of evangelical churches, the Warren’s launched Mettowee Valley Church in the spring of 2007. By God’s grace, in the fall of 2012, God opened the door for them to plant again in Poultney, VT. Having been commissioned and released by MVC, the Warren’s launched Foundation Church, Labor Day, 2012. Striving to see the Kingdom of God expand across VT, Foundation Church saw another opportunity to plant in a neighboring town and recruited a lead planter for the task. After working with the planter and a small group people from Castleton, VT, FC helped launch Faith For Life Church, Labor Day, 2014. As a bi-vocational planter, Lyandon has procured various jobs across Vermont, however since 2012, Lyandon has had the privilege to serve the North American Mission Board as their Church Planting Catalyst in Vermont.
